A copy of a surviving helmet (Wallace Collection a82) in an unpainted version. The salade was produced in Germany around 1500. The original is preserved in excellent condition in its original painting, this shows the ‘Helmet 198’. Sheet thickness used: 2.5mm, 2.0mm and 1.2mm. Surface is hammered, sanded, hammer marks left (*6). Product is not welded.
